The object of OVLL shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children, as well as, grow into better citizens.
OVLL is made up of a Board of Directors consisting of approximately 20 positions. Some positions may be shared. Any person sincerely interested in active participation to affect the objective of this local league may apply to become a board member. There is an annual election of members, which usually takes place around August.
Once elected to the Board of Directors, OVLL requires each member to serve on the Board for a period of two (2) years. You do not necessarily have to hold the same position both years. It is also required that each member attend monthly meetings and help with field duty during the regular playing season. There may be special meetings called prior to big events, i.e. registration, try-outs, drafts, opening day, league picnic, etc.
Remember - without parent participation - our children won't have a league. It is a lot of work, but we also have a lot of fun. We all have the same common goal - OUR KIDS!
Meetings are open to the public and held the second Tuesday of every month at the Round Table Pizza at 9500 Greenback Suite 1. Please note however, it is actually facing Madison next to the Les Schwab Tires.
